Pharrell is gearing up the launch of his I Am Other label, and the first artists on the roster to get things off the ground is 17-year-old Compton representative, Buddy. We previewed his debut track “Awesome Awesome” a few weeks ago, and after it being featured on the How to Make It in America: The Mixtape Volume 2, we are now given some sleek visuals. Featuring Pharrell throughout, the video follows the youngster throughout Compton, making stops at the local liquor store, skate park, and ending at a barbecue, where an girl-on-girl altercation breaks out. Being that Buddy has already caught the attentions of both Pharrell and Kanye West, it’s safe to say that we can keep an eye out for this kid.
