Rick Owens 2011 Fall/Winter Collection

Rick Owens’ recent showing once again pushed the envelope for femininity in men’s fashion. Aside from his penchant for free-flowing silhouettes and of course the foundation in darker themes, various forms of skirts were notable amongst a handful of looks from the collection. The skirts themselves were something described by Owens as “Easy as a flannel shirt. Extreme and practical at the same time.” Not many will agree with this but the erosion of preconceived notions begins.
