Marni, with Consuelo Castiglioni at its helm as creative director, went the utilitarian route for their Fall 2011 menswear collection. With unconstructed khaki suits and heavy fabrics like gab, fleece and felt, the label created an interesting mix of texture by combining different materials. Several single and double-breasted felt overcoats had slick leather sleeves, and one particular navy velvet suit came with a two-tone pant. Marni also collaborated with Italian hat maker Borsalino to produce the felt trilbies.
