Admittedly, Adele covering Ms. Girl Aloud Gone Solo, Cheryl Cole, sounds a little bit strange at the very first moment. However, only a few seconds into her version of “Promise This” and it becomes obvious that Adele’s powerful voice transforms the dance-orientated song into a heartfelt ballad. The songstress performed this stunning rendition during her BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session this week. She also revealed that she has an affection for the former Girls Aloud-star:
“I love her. She’s my favourite person ever. I got to meet her at the Royal Variety and Dappy from N-Dubz was next to her. It was amazing, like living a dream.”
