In a changing Japanese socio-economic culture, the guaranteed and often expected way of life often meant entering the corporate world as an employee throughout the duration of one’s work cycle. Yet with many uncertainties over the corporate environment, an increasingly large segment of youth are choosing a different path that stresses creativity and one’s self over the regiment of large corporations.
