Since the 1980s, Oakley has worked closely with the U.S. Armed Forces to produce new technologies that can improve safety, comfort and performance for the soldiers on the field. After vigorous testing in all kinds of extreme environments, the Elite Assault Boot was accepted by the U.S. Elite Special Forces and a high-performance variant was made available to the general public. Some of the key features of these boots are: premium full grain leather; slash resistant textile made with a combination of Carbon Fiber and Stainless steel; Military grade speed lace loops, eyelets and laces; and an original Oakley design outsole molded by Vibram from Military grade rubber. The Elite Assault Boot and the Elite collection are produced in limited quantities and are now available at exclusive Oakley dealers.
