Founded in 1818, Brooks Brothers are the oldest surviving men’s clothier in the United States. Perhaps it’s therefore no surprise that their new cologne, from their ‘Black Fleece’ range, sets out to offer a mature fragrance. American Designer Thom Browne (who in 2007 was announced as the guest designer for Black Fleece) described it as “Evocative of that man sitting in a library or parlour, smoking and drinking whiskey.”
The packaging is equally elegant; it has been created from die-cut grey felted-flannel textiles.
Available now, at $125 from Brooks Brothers’ website.
