While it’s still up in there as to whether recessionary times bring forth more subtle or bold statements in color, the top 10 colors seem to suggest otherwise as we colors such as American Beauty (red – PANTONE 19-1759), Rapture Rose (pink – PANTONE 17-1929) and Warm Olive (green/yellow – Pantone 15-0646). However 2009 fall’s most popular color with 16.5% of designers integrating it into their collection is Iron (dark gray – PANTONE 18-1306), apparently labeled the new black.
