J.Augur Design 2008 Fall/Winter Collection

Based out of California, bag designer Judith Augur began her company J.Augur in 2004, wanting to create something new out of the old, essentially. Combining vintage materials including leather, canvas and denim while incorporating small details such as stenciling, beads and remnants, she sets forth her personal design aesthetics to create something very unique in the industry. For the fall/winter 2008 collection, the base inspiration is vintage Satillo textiles from Mexican descent. Rather than creating something specific for the market, the pieces are like an introduction into an ancient culture mixing in modern California with a deep understanding of timeless design.
