The mastermind duo, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, behind the virtual group Gorillaz have created a short animated promo for the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympics. The animated sequence is for BBC Sport’s coverage of the Olympics, entitled “Journey to the East“l borrowing from the classic chinese mythical;tale of the “Journey to the West“. This short sequence will be broadcasted on BBC during the Olympic season along with a campaign including online and mobile downloads.
