Although not entirely a new theme from New Balance (previously seen on the Super Team 33 Elements Pack), the nature of the Chinese Taoist elements of earth, wood and water can be seen manifested on this latest pack of New Balance 576s. Each element’s aesthetic features are applied, from the Earth elements brown tones, Wood’s black and green significance to tree bark and leaves and Water, seen in an appealing blue and white colorway. The 576 Elements Collection began its roll-out on April 1st with the Earth model, with subsequent versions of the Wood releasing one month later and the Water model releasing June 1st.

We reported about the collaboration among Hirst, Warhol, and Levi’s at Fred Segal in Los Angeles, now we’re showing you the collector’s book that will be released along with the line. The book will demonstrate the process of creating the collection and the various people involved. Death is a central theme of the book, appropriate for both artists, showing dark and ominous pictures of knives and skulls. The book showcases Hirst’s signature spot paintings and his famous diamond-studded skull, For the Love of God. The book also has an interview with Damien Hirst and fashion photographs done by Beau Roulette feature Vincent Gallo. It comes hard bound in black denim, with an optional plexiglass and metal display box.
The book is now available at DHW Books.

Honeyee posted the much awaited full feature on the Uniform Experiment Fujiwara x Soph. collaboration. As expected photography and product placement is an excellent supplement to the tops quality product, that is obvious in the feature. It contains elements we’ve seen previously but in a new light. A brand meant for the maturing heads, who’ll be needing blazers and ties, and necessities like jewel encrusted carabiners. An off-beat collaboration will also see a pair of board shorts developed in conjunction with Quiksilver. Check out the Honeyee feature and the Uniform Experiment site for more fulfillment and awe.
