2008 has been a pretty hectic year for sneaker anniversaries, with Nike tributing the Dunk, Jordan Brand going forth with the monumental XX3 and New Balance paying due to it’s iconic 576 for twenty great years of service. Here’s a preview of some of 576’s set to release this month which tip the scales with both some flashy and vibrant joints as well as some more understated releases focusing on quality materials. Also releasing next month is a pack of 1400s which aside from the premium nubuck uppers feature a monogram print. Check your local New Balance dealer next month for the goods.
Recently spotted in New York’s Soho district is a series of wheatpasted posters featuring Jim Henson’s Kermit the Frog wearing a Supreme box tee. Who knows what’s on tap, or whether this is just the work of somebody with too much time on their hands. Stay tuned for more details.

adidas’ premier Consortium releases for April have been released. The Consortium range seems to not really exude anything special for the month of April with some rather lackluster releases. Perhaps the lack of clear concise direction and concepts has been made apparent. adidas Consortium’s use of concepts was put on the back burner in a recent interview with adidas Consortium’s Dean Lokes as they decided to return to designing good colorways. We won’t jump to either side yet based on only a particular month’s releases, wait for another month to go by before these release.
