After a strong preview and many days orchestrating his Adaptation/Translation exhibition, José Parlá lifted the curtains on his latest showcase last week. His show touches on aspects of inspiration taken from many worldly travels and each respective subcultures methods of text communication. The artist’s 3D approach to his canvases bring a new perspective as a close inspection reveals a level of detail unseen from afar. A book featuring his artwork is also available in association with the show as Adaptation/Translation wraps up on November 10th at the Elms Lester Painting Rooms.
