Diamond Supply Co. x In4mation x Gravis
I’ve always been a firm believer that from an aesthetics point of view certain color/material combos look good regardless of their medium. Although it does lose some creative luster from its original application, this bag definitely joins Gravis’ other recent collaboration bag with The Hundreds as a job well done.
CLOT x Dita C.S.A. Midnight Special Sunglasses
I hate sunglasses cause none ever look good on my face, yet CLOT has done a good job with Dita applying their design philosophy and brand colors/materials of red and silk respectively in a tasteful manner.
Ubiq 2008 Fall/Winter Collection Grace Mid
Always a footwear favorite, the new style featuring a mid version of the Grace offers another great shoe in the brand’s strong roster.
Fashion V sport Exhibition Presents Nash
Nobody really ever understands the methods as well as the difficulties taking raw materials and coming to an end product. Thankfully customizer extraordinaire Nash Money offers some great insight via some stop-motion videos to see how it’s really done.
Timberland – The Abington Collection
Beyond most people’s perception of Timberland as purveyor’s of 6 inch Wheats comes a collection which definitely plays to a much different and more refined tune. These are quite consistent with the current mountaineering-inspired collections we’re seeing more and more often as of late.
Nike 1World Krink Air Force 1 Set
Marketing machine Nike has all the right cards when it comes to their 1World collection of Air Force 1s. Although Krink’s drips have been seen more and more consistently over product, I definitely don’t think I’m tired yet.
R A E N Optics 2009 Spring Collection
Most of the things we put up rarely comes through our hands and without it is that unused element of touch and feel which… well the Internet will never ever replace. We were extremely happy with the 2009 spring collection of R A E N as the little details that may otherwise go unseen really complimented the whole package. As vintage-inspired frames seem to be all the rage, its these details that is necessary to set the brands apart.
adidas Originals aZX Group Q-W
Probably my second favorite group aside from the first release. Some real subtle joints from VA, Wood Wood, Crooked Tongues set against some definite neckbreakers from ARC and UNDFTD.
FCRB 2008 Fall/Winter Collection
I was never really down for wearing jerseys outside their intended purposes on the court/field etc, but FCRB makes it much more bearable. Although Swarovski crystals are still something that carries a fine line on men’s fashion in my opinion, the simple star patterns work out alright. I would have liked to see more innovation and technologically advanced production methods with the revamping of Nike Sportswear although we do see things like waterproof bonded pockets.
By far one of the most compelling and interesting interviews I’ve watched/experienced in a long time. DJ Clark Kent tells it like no other in such a true and authentic manner, the guy is living history. A quick chat with NHTVSN’s Andrew Chen revealed Kent has some extremely interesting comments and opinions in a part 2 you don’t want to miss.
