Since its inception, Danner products have been held in high esteem for their range of outdoor equipment which embodied a sense of overbuilding. To Danner, overbuilding products resulted in high performance products which effectively showed their commitment in going above and beyond to serve their customers. When the Mountain Trail first released in the 1960s, it was touted as the perfect hiking boot due to its flexible and lightweight yet comfortable engineering. Seen here are some limited edition offerings of the classic Mountain Trail. Available now through ripe.
Among the myriad of hybrids being spewed out, the Wildwood 90 Free Trail ACG combines multiple designs but manages to keep the design free flowing. The end result is a model which offers not only comfort but a contemporary look with vintage highlights rather then an uninspired and forced creation often associated with hybrids. The black leather upper is met with green and purple as you move towards the back of the shoe. Currently available at select Nike dealers.

Charles and Ray Eames, the married couple that has contributed to many fields including industrial design, furniture design, art, graphic design, film and architecture would travel around the world collecting local folk artifacts. Among the objects they acquired was a wooden figure of a black bird from the Appalachian region in the Eastern United States. This figure would often appear in many photographs of Eames’ living room starting from the 1950s. Vitra will be now be reproducing this 11 inch tall figure for people to purchase. Available at inhabit and hhstyle.
Out of all the vinyls and figures out there in this culture, the Bearbricks remain probably the most popular of them all mainly due to the people they work with. If you’re a special few (we’re not) like Michael from the agency La MJC, then you might have already received this little 2008 New Year 50% Bearbrick as a gift courtesy of Medicom Toy. You probably won’t be able to buy this anywhere so it’ll probably be better to give up now just like we did.
