With the upcoming celebration of Chinese New Year on the horizon, a special bag was designed to accompany the purchase of Nike’s Chinese New Year hoodies. The “Year of the Rat” motif is based on the mouse wheel with gold accents. The bags will be handed out free of charge.

Lifestyle retail space 10 Corso Como is set to open a new shop in the South Korean capital of Seoul. With a large roster of high end labels and design orientated lifestyle products, the retail space is a great opening for the South Korean market. 10 Corso Como presently has locations in Japan and Italy. No word yet on an opening date.

A new hoodie has been released as part of the Afro Samurai x XLarge collection. The previous releases included a t-shirt featuring an Afro Samurai graphic and a figure. Afro Samurai is a popular manga (comic book) turned anime series featuring Samuel L. Jackson as the lead character. The hoodie is available now at STLESS.
Last weekend, The Bright tradeshow took place in Frankfurt, Germany. At the show, Nike SB showed off some of their upcoming sneakers for 2008. From the pictures, it looks like there will be the regular fare of the Dunks however there seems to be a high version of the P-Rod II coming out as well. We can’t wait to see more picture of that shoe.

The Carnival of Venice is a yearly festival which celebrates the wearing of masks. The first recorded Carnival took place in 1268 and has been banned over the century. In the late 1970’s the Carnival was revived and has been going on ever since. The Carnival takes place from January 25th to February 5th. Adidas has taken this chance to come out with a sneaker dedicated to this event. Utilizing the Micropacer model, Adidas has created a black colorway sneaker using leather, nylon and suede for the upper. This Adidas Carnival of Venice Micropacer is now available at Overkill Berlin.
The 150 year old brand, Levi’s, is known for their denim but recently they have ventured into “Challenging Sports” with their Levi’s FLU collection. This line is created in conjunction with Takahiro Okazawa (CLS, CYCLE) and Ewan Reynolds (Playford).
For the first delivery of Levi’s FLU ‘08 Spring/Summer collection, they will be releasing a Mountain Sprong Jacket. This jacket is highly waterproof with water proof zippers and pocket. In addition it features a reflective dot pattern which makes it both functional and visually appealing. The jacket is now available at Elesco for 34,650 Yen.
