Much like any China inspired projects, the color red is in abundance spanning over several mediums such as footwear and apparel. Some of the footwear previewed here include the Marathon Vintage, adiStar 2000 Track, Indoor Super and Volleyball. Apparel includes tees inspired by China’s powerhouse women’s volleyball team in the 1980s. Their collection bases itself off of fashion’s ability to bring together inspirations far and wide to create something meaningful and powerful. Their black apple with feather quill logo alludes to both New York’s iconic apple symbol as well as a journey towards knowledge. Their debut 2008 Spring/Summer collection incorporates New York relevant themes such as 1970s gang couture in a decidedly more refined style than the subject matter would suggest.
