All the pieces were created pre-shrunk so the size you leave the store with is the same size you get after its first and last wash. This fall season, Canadian veterans TBG take a candid look at the exploitation of religion for monetary gain in our culture, with the theme CHURCH: Pimps in the Pulpit. As always, TBG artfully balances comedy, commentary, and of course fashion. New York City based dread meets punk rockers RockersNYC have been building a steady following over the past few years by staying true to their vision. This season RockersNYC are exploring the many subcultures they draw influence from; be it politricks, Rasta, 80s hardcore, stoner metal, pop culture or beyond — RockersNYC captures them and bring their visions to life on the Dopethrone.
As part of their “rootsadelica” Fall/Winter 2007 season the Dopethrone, RockerNYC will be releasing t-shirts and cut & sew full-zip hoodies (made in Japan!) featuring the psychedelic, mountain-inspired Kilimanjaro print. The first shipment will be hitting stores mid-September.
The forward-thinking collective that is Fruition has re-vamped their website offering a look into their upcoming projects. In addition to back-to-the-future fashion pieces, Fruition tapped into prolific designer Jeremy Scott’s archive to obtain exclusive items that will only be available at the Las Vegas hot-spot. When you’re done checking out the top-shelf vintage clothing, browse in store-shots of Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West and M.I.A; stars who continue to take part in the Fruition movement as the store celebrates their two year anniversary. Japanese streetwear magazine Cool Trans has recently released their newest No. 144 issue for October 2007. This particular issue includes a special Neighborhood Key Wallet with the purchase of the magazine. A special tribute comic will be released in commemoration of Amos Toys’ new Japanese website which launched in the later half of June. “Vortigern’s Machine” is a modern day story involving a mystical Alice in Wonderland-esque journey. Available starting tomorrow August 25th exclusively in Japan.
