A wealth of previews regarding upcoming adidas retro models have become available. For the most part, the largely conservative colorways will provide adidas purists with a lot rave about. The models featured include the Forest Hills Vintage, Grand Slam Vintage, SL76 Olympics, Munchen Olympics, ZX500 Olympics, Tobacco Vintage Lux, Training 72, Olympia, Advantage, Gazelle Vintage Lux and Marathon Vintage. No word on a release date.

Onitsuka Tiger by Asics have given some of their classic models a Rakugaki treatment. Rakugaki, a Japanese term, roughly translates to “doodle” and after taking one look at these models, it will be easy to know why that the name was chosen. The Mexico ‘66 and the Samatore features high quality leather uppers with a graph paper like print. No information is presently known about the release.

Outfitting your kids in streetwear has been a trend lately. Flake presents Freshjive: Destroying Our Future Generation is a new concept headed by June Kasamatsu. Kasamatsu’s previous involvement with kids wear included design work for Hysteric Glamour Mini. You may recognize some of these tees from the Freshjive Resurgent Series. Although it’s undeniable that the adidas Micropacer was the first computer sneaker when it debuted in 1994, the original Puma RS 100 Digital stakes it’s claim as the first sneaker that enabled users to upload their data to the Apple II via game port. Fast forward to 2007 and the Puma RS 100 Digital has made a triumphant return. Released in low quantities of 1,000 pairs to specialty “List” accounts worldwide, now is your chance to own a little bit of the originator.
Also new to the scene is the black brown / gold / blue / mustard RS 100 Thai. The colorway does a good job of incorporating a bit of blue into an otherwise rather earthy looking sneaker.

As Nike makes a big push with their new Vintage Running line, a new website has been created to provide viewers with an interesting old school perspective on running. The website is fashioned after a 70’s fictional magazine dubbed “Oregon Runner”. The information provided has a distinct satirical flavor to it which makes it a fun read. Starting July 21st, various products from the Vintage Running Collection will become available in a plethora of OG colorways.
