The “Notebook” Dunk High features side panels similar to lined paper. The lines itself are texturized and raised. For their next “Artist Project Series” sneaker DC chose to work with legendary skateboarder Natas Kaupas. Kaupas who began his career in 1984 was the first skateboarder to integrate handrails into street-skating and also developed his own move called the “Natas Spin.” Besides being famous for his skateboarding skills, Kaupas also has artistic background as evident from the design on the uppers of these kicks.
