Visvim’s latest series of 20 series backpacks have started to release. These Nez Perce Ballistic 20 packs feature design influences taken from the North American tribe of Nez Perce Indians. The olive green pack features ballistic quality nylon for extreme durability as well as 3M Nez Perce inspired triangles that are actually green until they are hit with light to which they act as conventional 3M giving off a reflection.

Any Air Force 1 fanatic knows what’s the deal with these that recently made its way to eBay. Created for episode 33 of the TV show Entourage, these feature some of the craziest details ever seen on any sneaker with a fully lasered upper. During episode 33, the story line involved the pursuit of some sneakers that were selling at UNDFTD (these blue ones). However they eventually sold out leaving Turtle sneaker-less. This gold pair represents a customized gold pair that character Vince had specially made for Turtle. The actual customization was done by Mark Smith. There is word of a more readily available release with some changes made. Stay tuned for more details regarding any future releases.

Start checking your local Nike Urban accounts for the latest Nike “Santa Clara Leopards” Air Assault high. These sneakers are a tribute to former legendary Negro League and MLB pitcher, Satchel Paige. These Assault High’s feature pinstripes along the front of the toe box, as well a stitching on the upper reminiscent of a baseball’s cover. The team’s logo can be seen embroidered on the heel.

To commemorate the opening of the show “The Changes” at the gallery space at Milan based Slam Jam boutique, the show enlisted the help of 4 different designers to create t-shirts for the event. These included the dynamic duo from Perks & Mini, Shauna Toohey & Misha Hollenbach as well as Skate-Thing and Fergadelic of TONITE. These tees will go on sale at the Perks & Mini store in Shibuya, the Undercover store in Aoyoma and the hnyee store.

Here’s a look at the latest addition to the Nike SB family of sneakers in the form of this Air Zoom Autoclave. Clean lines dictate this sneaker and as a result I foresee a strong fan base for these. Designed with the rage of vulcanized midsoles in mind, these feature a suede and leather upper with perforations on the heels for maximum cooling effect. Look for these to drop in the near future although no release date has been established.

Skate brand Diamond Supply Co. recently joined forces with Hong Kong’s Know1edge to create two pairs of denim. The denim features Diamond Supply Co. scripture embroidery on the backside as well as a diamond on the left pocket all while maintaining a Know1edge leather patch. Each pair of denim are available in washed or unwashed colors and are paired with a special dust-bag that includes embroidery and patches from each brand.

With the proliferation of internet media these days, one does not need to go far to find seamless integration into our life’s. Everyday, youth are born as digital youth. Mobile phone media, blogging sites, virtual gifting, these are all things that create a new way of life for the youth. In ways, the digital youth is one that relies on these media factors to create personality and direction in the lifes of some of these unguided youth. Josh Spear (from the website JoshSpear.com) recently gave a presentation at Zeitgeist Europe about the effect of digital media and the way it shapes our world today. Although conventional forms of media are still a mainstay in society, it would be anything short of ignorant to not focus on digital media and its ability to reach out to the latest generation. Although we are not denying the power of digital media, underlying issues are to what extent this digital media is dictating our lifes. No doubt the role of media is to influence one’s taste, however are there lines to be drawn? Do we really need to reveal our location via a mobile phone tracking site at any given time? Regardless one thing to consider is that this are all things that we choose to do and nobody is forcing us to do anything. Definitely not a definitive statement on our part, but simply something to pique your interest and force some assessment of our behaviors.
