Juno from the collective of Hong Kong’s Silly Thing has just released his 5th album titled Chapel of Dawn. This two disc set includes a DVD as well as a CD. The artwork on the cover may look familiar as it was orchestrated by artist James Jarvis.

Maiden Noir recently dropped an extremely detailed New Era cap. The front of the hat features an anchor with crossed swords with an emblem to the left and a Jolly Roger flag to the right. The final drop of Staple Design has just been revealed. The best has been saved for last according to Jeff Staple. The upcoming releases include John Jay of design firm W+K with the Flesh/Shelf anagram, jack of all trades Bobbito Garcia reissuing the classic Major League Footwork (MLF) tee, of Colette using the Colette/To Elect anagram, Raoul Shah founder of Exposure, Hiroshi Fujiwara using the anagram of Night/Thing and of course Jeff Staple himself with Hour Glass/Rush Goals.

Here’s a look at slated upcoming models slated to release late 2007 and early 2008. With the release date so far away no concrete info is available. There seems to be a trend towards brighter colorways from the New Balance camp which may enable them to expand their horizons and demographic. Stay tuned for more details regarding these releases.

On a follow up to a recent drop from Futura Portable Picnic Player drop comes some new goods in the way of more tee-shirts as well as trucker caps and key chains. Dope Distribution was fortunate enough to secure the trucker caps and key chains since they are from previous collections. Portable Picnic Player represents Futura’s exclusive label for his Bangkok-based Modified store.

For the upcoming release of the Air Jordan Alpha I’s & Omega XX2’s, Jordan Brand has created two matching shirts. The t-shirts feature the same stylized backdrop as seen on the side panels of the upcoming shoes slated to release. Retail is $36 USD and they are currently available at Nike.com.

The ongoing “Materials of the World” from German brand, adidas have offered individual countries the ability to showcase some of the culturally relevant symbols and (obviously) materials that make their nations unique and individual. On the converse end, the slated Fall & Winter 2007/2008 collection from adidas titled the “Flavors of the World” presents a more global identity and draws influence and design from all parts of the world as a theme for this upcoming collection of sneakers. As you can see the sneakers incorporate many premium design approaches such as high quality materials, and lasering. Stay tuned for more release info.

Here are the finished product regarding the X-Large Upstairs Gallery Series created by Logan Hicks that we previously covered. Artist Logan Hicks is leaving the West Coast and as a result X-Large bestowed upon him his own farewell collection of gear. The collection will go on sale at the upstairs portion of the X-Large Flagship store at 7PM on the opening night of Hicks’ Fairwell Show.

The Nike Running Vintage collection comprises of a variety of original Nike models. The first collection consisted of works by Junya Wantanabe of Comme des Garcons. This upcoming release comprises of 4 different models in the Ld 1000 (predominately synthetic upper) and the Daybreak. These sneakers may be brand new however they are deliberated given a vintage treatment to mimic a natural aging process of a pair of sneakers that have survived over 20 years. There is also a set of pictures regarding an upcoming Fall 2007 sample of the Ld 1000 in purple. These will release as tier 0.

In addition to the heavy graphic tees Acapulco Gold released last month, they’ve also ventured into denim for their sping season. Their debut jeans are High Post 14 oz. Selvage Denim produced by Post O’Alls. Only a few stores will be carrying the jeans and they include Union NY/LA, Reed Space, and Commonwealth.
Post O’Alls is a Japanese brand based out of NYC who have been making the highest quality Denim, Military, and Workwear Clothing that is still made in the USA. They use one of the oldest factories in the Tri-State area that used to do all Samples for the Likes of Polo, and Levis so these are no joke. They jeans use custom pocketing and they have a great fit.
Acapulco Gold will be developing more products under this name in the future, and will also be featuring a trip to the Post O’Alls factory on their new website which will launch next month.
