Reed Space hosted an event for the US Premier of Graniph on Friday, April 6. Graniph is a very cool, reasonably priced Japanese brand with over 100 different t-shirt designs. Each design is unique and is limited to 1000 pieces per design and is never repeated for reproduction.
According to Melanie Feindt, Art Director for Graniph, the shirts are walking galleries for the artists’ work. 30% of the designs are from in-house designers, 30% are from Japanese artists / copywriters, 30% are from artists around the world The other 10% are chosen from designs submitted to Graniph. The artist whose work is chosen gets a profile introduction on Graniph’s website as well as links to their website.
Graniph believes in networking between famous and non-famous artists around the world and collaborations are done depending on the quality of the art.
With over 50 shops in Japan, Graniph hopes to gain American fans and will have a two-month run at Reed Space, NYC.
Undefeated’s latest project is an Air Freshener with fragrance brand Kummba. This is definitely an interesting lifestyle item from Undefeated. When your shoes stack up and start to smell, this little nifty product will certainly come handy.

Here is another look at the highly anticipated collaboration between Visvim and Neighborhood on the Visvim 7-Hole Boot model. From the last sample photos, the quality of the leather and suede combination have been upgraded and now displays a sleek and smoother look. New Balance presents their latest collaboration, which is a Hanon x Schoeller x New Balance M990HSN. Schoeller is a Swiss based company known for producing high technology textiles and this time they have used many innovative materials on the M990 model. The Hanon M990 is constructed with a Schoeller 3XDRY encapsulated sock upper. 3Xdry is a treatment applied to technical fabrics that deals predominantly with 3 areas, the moisture management, stimulates cooling effect, and repels water and stains. The Hanon M990HSN will be released on Saturday April 28th.
