Here’s a really nice educational, but really cool vid we found on Snowvision. If you’ve ever wondered about how Burton snowboards are made, take a quick look at this video. Watch as Jacob Orvis from Burton’s Burlington, VT factory take you on a tour of the many steps and stations of creating a board, from parts, silk screening, to final production. Take a peek now and see how you’re favorite Burton boards are manufactured.
Know1edge and Evisu came together to produce a special piece for a charity project. If you’re an avid chess player, or just want to have something cool that’s also for a good cause, then this Chess Set is a nice option. The set was “handcrafted using Evisu’s selvage denim sewn together in a patchwork formation onto solid wood.” According to Know1edge and Evisu, the white pieces represent “Fact” and “Truth,” while the black pieces represent, “Media.” The pieces were created by using pieces of a magazine, and were all hand-made by Annie Lee Siswojo. All proceeds will go to the Children’s Cancer Foundation in HK.

Just like many other high end Japanese brands, Comme des Garcons has recently opened their ‘Comme des Garcons Edited’ store at the Isetan department store in Japan. For the opening, they have released some tees in conjunction with toy maker and film production company, Bandai. These tees are based on Bandai’s creation of Jinzoningen’s characters – Kikaider and Hakaider.

As noted on Benny Gold’s blog, Huf will soon have a sister line under the name of Benny Gold in Spring ‘07. There will be New Era fitted caps in this line which will be a double-label release between Huf and Benny Gold. The collection will hit stores early April.

The Vans collaboration project “3 Feet High” with Huf, Dave Quality Meat, and Kicks/Hi will soon be released. There will be a release party in New York on March 15th. See flyer after the jump.
