The newest release from New Balance is the exclusive Hungry Dragon 574, which was a concept that came from designer Andrew Nyssen, who works out of the New Balance HQ in Boston and he is also the man behind the previously released Super Team 33 series. The launch party for this sneaker was held at one of Hong Kong’s finest clubs Dragon-i and it was definitely a glamorous event filled with Hong Kong celebrities. The shoes come in 3 different colors Garden Green, Blackberry Purple and Midnight Black featuring super premium gold embroidery of dragons on it and there will only be 574 pairs in production. Also, New Balance has collaborated with fashion label ‘Yoropiko’ and have created a denim jacket and jeans set to accommodate the Hungry Dragon 574. 50 sets will be made and will only be available to purchase online through eBay starting at a reserve price of HK$18,000 per set.

Nike recently held an Air Force 1 25th Anniversary celebration in Tokyo at Tokyo’s 1LOVE store. The store was put together for the sole purpose of Nike Air Force 1, the top level is a Nike iD Studio for customizing and the gallery-like Air Force 1 and Air Force 25 only shop on the lower level. This celebration party had many guest including Edison Chen from Clot, Big-O and Iggy from Swagger/Phenomenon, Caol Uno, and more. They also had the Nike Old Six Medicom figures on display, which definitely added to the already tremendous displays and the 1LOVE store will operate for 1 year only.
