adidas “EUROPASS” Ball – The Official Matchball of Euro 2008
Since 1970, adidas has been the purveyor of matchballs for some of the football world’s biggest stages. From the World Cup to various continental championships, these tournaments have yielded revolutionary changes in the football world. The newest release, the EUROPASS will debut at the 2008 European Championships. The EUROPASS is a combination of the past and the contemporary, with panels referencing the style of footballs seen in the past alongside various contrasting highlights. As well, the ball uses new technology which allows for optimal control regardless of the conditions. In recent memory, goalkeepers have complained that the latest ball technologies have benefited the player through increased power and swerve, the EUROPASS sets to right the playing field and offer better glove to ball grip.
