Nike Oasis

As a follow up to the Nike Oasis Safari that came out earlier in July 2006, this new version is a more simple version with its two tone upper colors. The shoes sports suede material for the tan color while the dark brown color is made up of a more rigid material. It’s a perfect alternative for those looking for a simple earth tone look. Definitely a fresh break from all the crazy colorways releasing these days. Image: La MJC

Staple 10th Anniversary Limited Edition by Yonehara

Staple 10th Anniversary Limited Edition by Yonehara

Japanese photographer Yonehara teamed up with Jeff Staple to create a series of photos starring Japanese Porn Star Maria Ozawa and model Sakiko Ann Suganno for a look book showcasing Staple Design’s 10th Anniversary limited edition T-Shirt collection. Also, for the 10th Anniversary Shirts, Jeff formed a collective roster of some of the most prominent names in the art and design fields to work on the designs. The design was centered on the theme of anagrams that reflected each artist in different ways. Figures such as Stash, Paul Mittleman, and Young Kim were just some of the people involved. Also, photos exhibited from Yonehara’’s first solo show at Staple Design’s NYC boutique, The Reed Space in December 2006 are now available for sale. Staple 10th Anniversary Lookbook $30. Cliche x Nike SB Classics Interview at Crooked Tongues

Cliche x Nike SB Classics Interview at Crooked Tongues

Crooked Tongues has a great feature on the Cliche x Nike SB Classic shoe. The feature gives more insight to how the project came about and how the shoe is not only commemorates Cliché’s 10th anniversary, but is also themed around the Euro’s 5th birthday. On top of that, CT did an interview with Cliché brand manager Al Boglio, Cliché graphic designer Eric Frenay and Nike SB’s Seb Palmer to tell us more how the project came about. Nike 25th Anniversary Air Force 1 in Berlin

Nike 25th Anniversary Air Force 1 in Berlin

After New York, Beijing and Hong Kong, Nike will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Air Force 1 in Germany. The exhibition takes place at the Nike Spirit Room on January 25th. The party will take place in a secret location on that night but it’s most likely an invite-only event. For those who are in that area, this is definitely something to check out. For those who aren’t fortunate enough to be at the event, you can take a look at some images of the space after the jump.

House of Cassette Denim

House of Cassette Denim

House of Cassette has been in the works for quite a while now. It’s the creative output of Peter Lee James and again boosts a whole collection, rather than being a t-shirt brand, which is rather refreshing. It’s based in L.A. and it’s focus are denims, very nice ones at that too. Peter was good enough to send some samples over a little while ago, and they’re killer. High quality denims, great finishes and good cuts. So good infact that Vogue France now even picked them up. Check the article here. Again, a brand to look for. Info: Peter / House of Cassette

Freshjive Presents 3 Weeks in Mexico

Freshjive Presents 3 Weeks in Mexico

This should be a good one. Rick Klotz, the brainchild behind Freshjive & his companions spent three weeks in Mexico and even had some time to shoot some flicks, I know I wouldn’t. Rick’s photographic work has always been top notch, ranging from close up portrait shots on Skid Row to Mexican Gangs, so expect something real good at this show. If you will be in Barcelona next week this is a definite “must-attend” show. The show opens Wednesday, the 17th at 8pm at the Vallery Gallery. See you there. Info: Slam X Hype
