The two recently collaborated this year on the Hideout version of the woven Air Footscape. The choice of Hideout and Nike to select the woven Air Footscape is homage to the fusing of two classic Nike styles which were the original products that started the Nike/Hideout relationship.

When The Hideout store in London hit the laboratory with Nike, no one could have quite predicted the outcome. The two recently collaborated this year on the Hideout version of the woven Air Footscape. The choice of Hideout and Nike to select the woven Air Footscape is homage to the fusing of two classic Nike styles which were the original products that started the Nike/Hideout relationship.
The woven Air Footscape
The original Air Footscape featured a contoured footbed and followed the lines of natural performance. The original Air Footscape symbol features on this version signify the shoe’s wider forefoot. Additionally, with its asymmetrical lacing to relieve top-of-foot pressure and tessellated design to reduce weight, it proved the perfect solution.
Built upon the original 1995 Air Footscape outsole, the woven Air Footscape has the foundation for long life. Taking its cues from another Nike icon, the Nike Air Woven, the upper is woven together with nylon, allowing breathability and eliminating the liner leather for increased flexibility. Also, the upper can be woven to the outsole without any adhesive, which means the original lines of the Air Footscape are still visible and the classic silhouette is not lost; all the while using fewer materials and reducing waste.
However, the first thing people will notice when you wear the Hideout version of the woven Air Footscape is the hair. The upper is made with a mix of premium cowhide and pony hair material which is a reference to the Hideout’s “wild westâ€Â-inspired brand image.

The Hideout version of the woven Air Footscape will be available in brown or gray. They will hit The Hideout in London on September 9, 2006 and then move on to select sneaker specialty doors worldwide on September 16, 2006.
