I’d have to say that the Adicolor launch has been the most impressive marketing and advertising plan executed this year in terms of sneaker releases. My second choice would be the release of the Nike Air Max 360’s. But I digress. As part of another elaborate marketing stunt, Adidas has wisely placed Adicolor products in some bodegas and corner stores in and around New York City. The meaning behind this is that Adidas is allowing people to see Adicolor products in “real-life scenarios.” Check out this “product placement” (image to right) of the Jeremy Scott/Keith Harring Adicolor Hi in a bodega right above the soda fridge and next to tampons.
