The adidas Surface to Air art exhibition took place at the adidas Original Store in New York.
It’s a really cool exhibit where the guys from Surface to Air took 180 pairs of white/white/gum Samoa trainers, shredded them in their boxes at a commercial shredder, and then re-constituted custom made replicas of two classics of modern design – Mies Van Rohe’s “Barcelona” chair and Le Corbusier’s “Grand Comfort” chair. They also made two 30 foot paintings and a pair of videos for the exhibit – all of which are on display at the NY store, before going to London, Berlin, Tokyo, Miami (for Art Basel), and LA.
Two new Dunk High with fabulous designs will be available coming this Fall 2005. Via EnglandMJ7 from NT.
