So we had a look at the Polkadot Kaws Bapestas yesterday, today we find an article from Friday magazine with some more info on them and a couple more colorways. It seems as though they are ‘Pop Art’ Kaws Bapestas inspired by the dot pattern comic art of Roy Lichtenstein! It mentions Silver Bullets…Silver Bullet Comics? Interesting to see Bape getting so deep into the comic scene. Nice to see them taking a new direction as well; getting away from all the patent leather. via Kix-Files.

It features new street oriented collection including the lifestyle AJX and AJXIII, rocked by JB’s posterboys Melo, TO and Q. The nicest addition though is a music video of one of my all-time favorite MC’s – Common (aka. Common Sense) from his latest album “BE”. If you didn’t know, Common used to be the ball boy for The Bulls (before MJ got drafted though). It’s really cool, that finally JB is giving back by trying to reach out to hip hop.
