Sometimes, the simplest things in life are the best things. For example, take this Air Force 1 by designed by Methamphibian at Nike iD. According to Meth, the black leather on black snake skin was inspired by the black Stussy Dunk highs. The white sitching was from the black hTm Air Force Ones and the gum soles from the Courir Air Force Ones. With the exception of the lace patch, everything from this shoe was made by Nike iD. For her new book, ‘Drei Streifen gegen Puma’ Barbara Smit spent five years doing research on the brothers behind Puma and Adidas; Rudolf and Adolf Dassler. Her book covers the brothers’ history: from the family shoe company during Germany’s sport-obsessed 1920s, through the WWII Nazi era, up until their messy divorce and the rise of the two seperate sneaker empires.
Should be a very interesting read!
