Alife Vancouver Interview!

Dopefiend has conducted an interview with the newly opened Alife in Vancouver. “After months of speculation, rumour and hearsay, alife finally opened up their second store late September 2005 in Vancouver, British Columbia, in the heart of Gastown. But why Vancouver? It didn’t seem like an obvious choice…perhaps it was the Olympics? The whole west coast thing? Turns out, it was a very deliberate move by one of the sharpest streetwear design teams working today. We had a ton of other questions to ask, so we spoke to Nate Sabine of alife Canada and Nubile Distribution to clear up all the rumours surrounding North America’s hottest new boutique.” Click here to read the entire interview.

The M-65 Field Jacket

The M-65 Field Jacket

Many brands has their own M-65 Jacket borrowed from the military clothing style. RTHQ has a in-depth reading of these M-65 jackets. “The cross over appeal of military clothing into civilian life is well recognised. Furthermore, the influence of military uniforms on fashion is a recurring theme and has been widely written about. Whilst countless articles might discuss and critique the designers who are inspired by these clothes in their own ranges, what is the story behind the original designs? Where do they come from? Who made them? And when? This is my attempt to shed more light on one garment that is surely worthy of further investigation; the M-65 jacket.” Read the rest here.

Nike Defining Moments Package Delayed

Nike Defining Moments Package Delayed

Shoe Gallery sends us info about the Defining Moments Package being delayed. Official: Defining Moments Package delayed until next year! According to “JMAdidas2001” and “BabyJordan0312” that’s the decision Brand Jordan made last week. Those two have provided very reliable information in the past and we believe what they say. The DMP was supposedly delayed until 2006 because of quality issues during production. If you call up your local stores or speak with a Nike Customer Service Rep they won’t even know about the change yet. It takes time for the word to trickle down to the retail stores and its employees. Please do not send us emails about this. We will update this page with any new info. Here it is again, the DMP will NOT be released on Nov. 12. It has been delayed until some time in 2006. More info at Niketalk.
