Seriously...what celebrity lived where is one of the dumbest deciding factors I've ever heard. What effect does it have on your life if someone you don't know and never talked to happened to have a house near you? Same thing for the sports teams really. Unless you're a season ticket holder, and spend time with the guys on the team outside of work, how does that make the city more enjoyable for you? Sports events don't make up enough of my social life to matter, and I'd be depressed if they did. As far as girls....they might wear less in cali and look better cuz of that, but with the presence of so many modeling agencies (including elite and ford-the 2 largest/most respected in the industry), you'd be crazy to think NY doesn't have bad chicks too. Does LA have a better art scene than NY, including galleries/theatres/street art? Just googling I found 7 museums in LA, and 20 in NY...NYs Film Forum is on entertainment weeklys top 10 theatres list, LA has none noted....LA has some respected street/graf artists, but I don't know if it compares to the artists/exhibits in NY...Is LA really more of a fashion capital, including street scene/runway+high fashion presence/everyday creativity? Maybe the street scene is a draw, but if you look at brands (especially street) internationally, I see more of a NY influence+NY dominates high fashion. As far as music...I like saigon, joell ortiz, MF Doom, The Roots, Aesop Rock, RA, and Sean Price. I know if I lived in LA, I most likely wouldn't have been able to see them all as much as I have. I'll say it's biased, but until someone can rationally explain how LA offers more, I'ma say NY

seriously you need to go home.. one man doesnt create hiphop... hiphop can mean alot of diff things , lifestyle etc saying a jamaican made hiphop is real........................ you know

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dj_kool_herc

read that and know your fucking history. you couldnt have hip-hop with out jamaica. hip -hop spawned from this one dude. ask any real hip hop historian and they can pinpoint the birth of hip hop to Kool Herc and the first time he hooked up two turntables and created the first loop of a break beat. ignant ass niigga

toronto probley has a valid place in this argument.. i grew up in seattle so i im baised to pick seattle.. i love the mountians and i didnt mind the wheather.. i love in the praries nwo nad its fukin -35 so id rather trade for rain any day

ny really does run shit.. money wise.. culture wise.. food wise.. clothing wise.. life wise.. evreything goes through ny and gets feeded out to evreywere else.. ny is more urban and i like urban concrete jungles.. if la didnt have celebs it would just be a dirty over spread out city .. hollywood adds glam and hype to a city that would just be a dirty wasteland of fallen dreams ... i havent been to ny yet.. but ive been to la.. sure the weather and beaches were nice.. but it was a dirty city where i spent more time on the highway getting places then actually being in places... and i went to a dodgers game that was subpar at best..LA has nice folliage tho.. the landscape and water nad hills and mountains is nice to see.. i like that shit

NY>>>toronto>>LA

Fuck you and your gay little city.

All there is in la/cali is a bunch of weirdos, emos, punk rockers, hypebeasts, and mostly importantly HOMOS. San francisco is the capital of HOMOS.

I've been to LA, but never to Seattle, and Jesus Christ, NY is so much better.

Indie Movies > Hollywood Movies
NYC Subway > LA Subway
Bohemians > Hippies
Italian Pizza > Veggie Pizza
Bed Stuy > Compton
NYU > UCLA
Biggie >>>>>>>>> Tupac (Tupac was bitch made)

but to be fair
LA weather > NY weather
Governator > Pataki

All I do is smoke weed and listen to MF DOOM innercitykidsmusic.com

Agreed. I have been to all 3 multiple times and live in Seattle. There would be no way in hell I would want to live in LA ever. New York is a possibility.

I like how you broke it down for the masses. But Pataki aint governor anymore. It's Eliot Spitzer. And as the former attorney general who cracked down on all of Wall St.'s shenanigans, he is very much gansta. So I'm going to switch up your last point and put a real life G ahead of a hollywood movie G.
