Well I like to use the original laces that they come with. I don't recommend two pairs of different color laces for them because it just makes them look childish imo. But if that's your chosen preference it's all good with w/e you feel comfortable w/ or what style your going for. For me I like to lace them up double butterfly style. I start out by lacing them to the fourth lace hole, you can go to the fifth if the shoes are a loose fit. If the shoes are a correct fit and they are high tops go to the fifth lace hole, if they are low go to the fourth. Always make sure both ends of the laces are perfectly even with each other. You can line them across each other or do straight parallel lines with them as your stringing them up. Next I tie them as you would regularly tie any other shoe, but I keep pulling the ribbons until both ends of the laces are in contact with the knot so that the laces are still tied but their is no left over slack. Even laces are crucial at this point or the knot won't look quite right. Then I take the two ribbons and tie them for a second time until they are even on each side. The finished knot should have three wings on each side of the knot that are even. If you don't feel like following these steps you can always just lace them regularly haha.
