Watch the First Three Minutes of 'Fear the Walking Dead'

Those eagerly awaiting this weekend’s premiere are in luck: AMC has released the first three minutes of its Fear the Walking Dead pilot. Posted to YouTube, the scene is somewhat reminiscent of the very first episode of The Walking Dead as Rick Grimes awoke from a coma to find the hospital in complete disarray and the zombie apocalypse in full swing. Created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson, the spinoff takes place in Los Angeles during the beginning of the outbreak and stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Lorenzo, James Henrie, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Rubén Blades, Mercedes Mason and Patricia Reyes Spíndola. Check it out above and look for Fear the Walking Dead to premiere this Sunday, August 23 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
