Drake's 'VIEWS' Continues Billboard Chart Domination With Ninth Week at No. 1
The 6 God looks more like a 9 God now.
At this point, it seems that Drake‘s VIEWS is pretty much unstoppable. For the ninth consecutive week – yes, the ninth – the globally embraced hip-hop heavyweight has landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. Drizzy’s extended stay has made VIEWS the third hip-hop album to achieve such a feat, beating out Eminem’s eight weeks on top with The Marshall Mathers LP, but trailing behind Vanilla Ice’s colossal 16 weeks with To The Extreme and MC Hammer’s astounding 21 weeks with Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em. According to Billboard, Drake is the first male artist to stay at No. 1 for nine weeks since Billy Ray Cyrus’ Some Gave All dominated the charts for 17 consecutive weeks in 1992.
