Spearheaded by founder and Creative Director Guillaume Philibert, Amsterdam-based footwear brand Filling Pieces drops its first string of releases from the label’s 2015 fall/winter collection. Drop 1 delivers another strong range of contemporary high-end-meets-street footwear that includes new iterations of signature low-top and mid-top silhouettes as well as the brand new Low Ultra model in all-white and all-black colorways. The premium sneakers are handmade in Portugal with fine fabrics sourced from some of the world’s leading tanneries and garment suppliers. Silhouettes are constructed with a variety of laser-cut leather mesh, thick Italian tanned Texas grain waxed leather, perforated full-grain leather and reflective 3M layers. Details such as hand-woven and stitched uppers, colored outsoles, and fedora-patterned uppers made with black and reflective 3M strips exhibit fine finishing that exemplify the brand’s commitment to offering sophisticated designs with Scandinavian minimalism. The first drop of the Filling Pieces 2015 fall/winter collection is now available for purchase online as well as at select retailers worldwide, including the Filling Pieces London store, Kith NYC, MR PORTER, Sneakerboy and colette.
