You may or may not remember the hoverboard prank that skate legend Tony Hawk was involved in last year. Well, Hawk returns to help build a hoverboard that may actually become commercially available very soon. Technology company Arx Pax was behind the first version of the Kickstarter-funded Hendo hoverboard, and has reprised its role in the project with the introduction of the Hendo 2.0 hoverboard. As we see in the new version, the updated deck is much thinner, sleeker and supposedly quieter than the first model. From a design perspective, Hawk’s primary responsibility was to ensure that the board handles well, so we can expect a fairly user-friendly board. The big reveal is slated for later this month, so here’s hoping that the Hendo 2.0 will be hitting markets very soon. You can read more about the technology behind the hoverboard on Gizmodo.
