Hailing from Vancouver Tommy Genesis connected with rising Atlanta’s Awful Records through the internet. After previously appearing on songs like Father’s “Vamp” or KCSB’s “Ask, if you really wanna know,” she is now ready to present her new single. Produced by Keith Charles Spacebar and GODMODEGAME666, “Shepherd” is equipped with a menacing beat that offers us a rich palette of electronic sounds. Tommy Genesis is doing the beat more than justice as she fires off lyrics which have been sparked by a recent breakup.

“I wrote this track about a girl who broke my heart, I’d always say fuck everyone else,” she explains over email, also describing her sound as “dark sometimes, kinda like you’re having a bad dream but you’re with your dream girl so it doesn’t really matter.”

Tune in below and put Tommy Genesis on your radar, in case you haven’t done it yet. Her debut album, World Vision, arrives at the end of the month.
