Taking inspirations from its deep-rooted Japanese ties, the Hawaiian brand took a thorough look into the island’s strong East Asian connections. In regards to designs, hand-drawn illustrations are paired with logo-driven designs that are an ongoing nod to Japanese’s strong visual language. Among Art Director’s Keith Kanagusuku’s highlights range include the ‘Lost in Translation’ T-shirt, based on the Tokyo Transit system and the Micha Oni-style “Respect Locals” design done by Ronnie Hamada. The collection is available now at select retailers globally.
