Dirk Schönberger, Creative Director of adidas, Comments on Working with Kanye West

Taking a moment out with W Magazine, creative director of adidas, Dirk Schönberger spoke on one of his favorites shoe designs – the Stan Smiths. In relation the 48 year-old German native shared his thoughts on working with Kanye West as well as designer Raf Simons who he will continue to collaborate with this coming fall. With the anticipation at its height for the West/ adidas collaboration, Schönberger commented:

“It’s partnerships like these that keep me continuously learning.”

On Raf Simons he notes their shared passion for the iconic shoe:

“Raf grew up with these shoes, just like I did. He has an emotional connection to the brand.”
