“Godfather of House Music” Frankie Knuckles‘ sphere of influence can be felt across all sides of music, and during their recent Maida Vale session for BBC Radio 1 Brit-rockers The Horrors paid tribute to the recently passed icon in the form of a cover. Though the quintet was primarily there to play music from their upcoming album Luminous and promote their own work, around the 18 minute mark the group launches into a cover of Frankie Knuckles’ classic cut “Your Love.” Prior to The Horrors’ cover, Frontman Faris Badwan said the track was a “classic record, one of the best Chicago house records ever.” Take a listen to the full session above.
