The A$AP Mob goes grime and Skepta dons a more Americanized flow on Skepta’s latest, “It Ain’t Safe.” The track features a shouted hook from Young Lord aka A$AP Bari, who also appeared in Skepta’s recent video for his U.S. remix of “That’s Not Me.” “It Ain’t Safe” takes some inspirational cues from NWA, but the song is a very modern-sounding amalgam of grime’s aggression and intensity and American rap’s emceeing style.
