Motorola Moto G
Hot off the announcement of its Project Ara initiative, Motorola continues its open market approach
Hot off the announcement of its Project Ara initiative, Motorola continues its open market approach with the revealing of the Moto G smartphone. At first glance this mobile device doesn’t pose much of a threat to its Android comrades, boasting a 4.5-inch 720p screen, 8-16GBs of storage, Android 4.3, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, and a 5 megapixel camera. Nothing mind-blowing here. Until you get a glimpse of its $200 USD price tag that comes contract-free with no SIM-lock and an unlockable bootloader to fully customize its software. Specifications will also include a variety of color choices, 65GB of free online storage through Google Drive, 3G speeds only, and an upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat will be available by January. The Moto G will launch in Brazil, the UK and Ireland today, Canada and other parts of Europe in the coming weeks, and the U.S. and India in early 2014.
