Hot on the heels of J.W. Anderson’s collaboration with Versace last year, M.I.A. has teamed up with Versace in presenting a striking collection for the label’s Versus offshoot. The collection draws inspiration from “bootlegging” culture, reinterpreting the Versace logo with loud, audacious prints onto sets of button-ups, T-shirts, trousers, and a backpack, while a lacquered all-black sneaker rounds out the collection. Combining golden medallions and Sanskrit-inspired lettering, the vibrant pieces blend motifs from both sides, presenting an edgy collection filled with cryptic appeal.
