Perfection Through Imperfection: John Findra's Miniature Wrecks

John Findra believes that “perfection” as it is most widely accepted, is an attainable and man-made state, and thus boring. He postulates that true perfection is naturally selected, and that when a car is left to nature’s entropic devices, only then can perfection be obtained. Findra’s unique miniature scale models seek to replicate nature’s work by using his airbrush and sculpting tools to recreate the beauty in the rust and decay of a car left to rot in someone’s backyard. In this video from Etsy.tv, we get a glimpse of what inspires Findra’s own version of perfection, along with his impressive artistic process. You can check out the rest of his work on his “Classic Wrecks” Etsy page here.
