Adding to a string of socially-responsible rap singles from  Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Part 1, Lupe Fiasco‘s “Battle Scars” video features singer Guy Sebastian and lyrically juxtaposes a relationship-centered chorus with verses espousing a larger, social relevance. Building on the releases of “Lamborghini Angels,” “B*tch Bad” and “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free),” the hip-hop artist’s album has made the top 20 on the U.S. iTunes chart and looks to improve on last year’s Lasers.
