Nike and the Oregon Health & Science University Doernbercher Children’s Hospital have unveiled the latest Doernbercher Freestyle Collection. A collaboration meant to benefit the hospital and its patients, the project offers patients who have battled serious illness the chance to create a unique shoe — they choose the colors, materials and details to reflect both their personalities and the difficulties they have had to overcome. The collection features several models including the Jordan IX, Dunk Hi SB, Air Force I and Free Run+ 2, as well as women’s versions of the Air Max 90 and Free Run+ 2. The collection will be available starting November 30 at Nike retailers as well as at Nike’s online store.
