With the forthcoming 2012 London Olympic games just on the horizon, adidas is launching the Archive Team GB Collection celebrating its longstanding relationship with the Great Britain team. Fusing signature Originals silhouettes with materials, detailing and color variations inspired by Team GB’s apparel in the 1984 Los Angeles games, it’s a throwback to when adidas sponsored the team for the very first time. With every piece wearing the distressed iconic Originals Trefoil logo and the British flag, the highlighting release will be a replica #398 jersey worn my decathlon gold medalist Daley Thompson. Also available in the collection will be various warmup jackets sporting the English colors, as well as four pairs of footwear: two Gazelle Indoors, one in dark indigo and white, and another in white with blue and red stripes; the Tobacco in air-force blue; and a classic white Handball 5 Plug with red and blue accents. The adidas Archive Team GB Originals Collection will begin retailing this month with prices moderately ranging from £40 GBP to £80 GBP (approximately $63 USD to $126 USD).
